There is no evidence whatever that the decisions by those owners were wrong. I think that it’s a pretty good bet that a high percentage of Pocket 4K owners were not buying into this, and that most purchased alternatives, Samsung T5 SSDs obviously a popular choice. When the Pocket 4K was launched, a 1TB CFast card sold for as much, if not more, than the camera, and Wise followed suit both on CFast and SSDs. In other words, you can purchase two 1TB Samsung SSDs for the same price as one Wise SSD and keep $20 in your pocket. Meanwhile, a Samsung 1 TB T5 costs US$130 and a 1 TB Wise costs $280, or $150 more. In the past, Rick has been asked for, but has been unable to provide, any evidence that Wise SSDs are superior in terms of performance for a given codec/frame rate or reliability. Rick believes that Wise SSDs are superior to Samsung T5 SSDs based on marketing claims by Wise that Wise has never supported by evidence. Again, all from my own experience so take it as it is. Surely, my experience with it is that it is able to handle recordings of high quality code at HFR over a T5 in both the P6K and UMP G2, and even compared to the Sandisk Extreme Pro CFast, which I own too. The Angelbird CFast is reliable but I didn't say it is the best storage out there. T5s are reasonable enough for price/value but has limits like issues when used with HFR at highest quality codec due to the limits of the bit rates with USB Gen 1 which CFAST 2 has less of these. I also can only go with my own experience. Rick, I don't believe there's any such thing as 'best' device. I use the 1 TB Wise Portable SSD, but feel hesitant to say that’s the best solution even though I’d use that Wise before the T5.
